ABOUT US

About us

We are a charitable organization, founded in the United States under the IRS 501 (c) (3) status, to provide humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable Venezuelan population, which suffers from a shortage of medicines and food as a result of the current humanitarian crisis.

As a charitable organization we carry out an exhaustive work of classification, inventory and packaging of donations we receive so that they arrive at the correct destination for free. We do the corresponding follow-up based on identification papers of the donations delivery, backed up with receipts, photos or videos; finally it is all published through our social networks.

We recognize that we cannot do this alone, that is why we join other volunteer forces in different parts of the world to achieve our goals.

Also, we do not operate like a pharmacy, because we cannot provide direct or individual assistance with medicines and other supplies. For this reason, we have a team of non-profit institutions committed in the Venezuelan territory, to provide individual assistance and to channel the cases we receive daily for the request of medicines.

Our commitment, along with our volunteers and partners, is helping to mitigate the humanitarian crisis the Venezuelan population is facing.

Our beginnings

The Humanitarian Aid Program for Venezuela -PAHPV, Inc- was created on February 12, 2014, in response to the social crisis and shortage of medicines that the Venezuelan population was facing at that time. It was a concrete response, with direct actions that helped many Venezuelans channel their efforts to help those most in need.

Initially, we started collecting donations in various collection centers distributed in South Florida, providing the necessary logistics for its free distribution across the Venezuelan territory.

These donations are directed to non-profit institutions, administered by religious congregations, university students and firefighters, indigenous communities, nursing homes, orphanages and other institutions approved by the American Government.

Our actions resulted in a trusted platform of Venezuelans and foreigners, appealing to those willing to contribute and help, all over the world, to send their donations to our collection centers.

We recognize that we cannot do this alone, so we join forces in different parts of the world to achieve our goals.

The committed response from the communities and from our allies allowed us to create a network of volunteers with presence in the United States, Panama, Puerto Rico, Europe and Abu Dhabi, dedicated to collecting medicines, medical supplies and non-perishable foods.

In January 2017, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) granted us the 501 (c) (3) status, which accredits us as a Charity Organization in the United States.

With this recognition, we continue to fulfill our sole objective of providing humanitarian assistance to more than 100 non-profit institutions distributed throughout most of the Venezuelan territory, without distinction of race, creed or social class.

It consists of collecting medicines, hospital and medical supplies, non-perishable foods and to provide the necessary logistics for its free distribution among various non-profit institutions in Venezuela.

To become an organization that encourages the participation of diverse institutions, communities and cultures in humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable populations in Venezuela.
